Blogs, blogs, blogs

Our study of Web 2.0 tools begins with blogs. According to Dawn and Priscilla, blogging is "all about me." However, at this juncture, I am more interested in learning how other educators have used blogging both in their own professional growth as well as student activities.

  1. I hope with your expertise and experience as a TRT you'll be able to provide some insights too!
Have you used blogs at all yet in your school with students or teachers?

  2. OK, I figured you would be our resident expert on this blogging thing. This means there is hope for me....I am still weighing in on the "worth it" factor for first graders.

  3. There is definitely the "worth it" factor question. I really want to see some elementary school blogging in action so I can really see it work. Richardson has some great things to say about blogs in his book, but I need to see some examples (hopefully that are currently going on.)

  4. So I tried to google blog + education and didn't really come up with anything of importance. I'm also interested to see how this could tie into what I teach.

  5. I agree with Jenna, some solid, current examples of how blogs are used for educational purposes would be nice to see! I'm sure this semester we will find some examples or at least some ideas for implementation of our own.

  6. Dawn and Sharon, I feel like I should confess that I have had very limited experience with blogs. It is not something that I have utilized thus far. However, I am very interested in how I could utilize this with middle school students.
