Wikis

Wikis... Up to this point I had used them only very briefly. The peer group I belong to uses one, but I hadn't really embraced it. However, after using the wiki to create the ITSopedia and creating our advocacy wiki, I am very close to being won over. It seems like an ideal place to have students collaborate. It is such an easy place to publish. It doesn't have the bother of creating your own web pages, yet is adaptable for different uses.

  1. Do you ever use "The Grove" wiki? I find whenever I need to find that one form like the TSIP for a staff memeber, I'm hunting through folder after folder for the 1 word document, but no longer...it's sitting right there in "The Grove"..if only I remembered my username and password each time. :-) I'm still exploring possible classroom uses....
